Kevin specializes in civil litigation with the primary focus of his practice in construction law and insurance defense. Having tried over 60 jury trials in 25 different counties throughout Minnesota, Kevin has the experience and exposure that has earned him a distinguished reputation. He has been recognized by his peers as a "Super Lawyer" every year since 2003.
Over the past 20 years, Kevin has represented both contractors, design professionals, manufacturers, materials suppliers as well as small business owners, professional corporation executives and Fortune 500 Companies. A dedicated attorney and strong advocate for his clients Kevin has handled hundreds of cases involving defective products, serious personal injuries, wrongful death, insurance coverage issues, and business litigation issues.
Growing up in a small town in central Minnesota with a father who served as a the County Attorney and later a District Court Judge, Kevin was exposed to the legal profession at a young age. He saw the positive impact and influence a lawyer and judge can make on his or her community and has made community service and volunteering a major part of his own career. Kevin has served in a leadership role in a variety of community and non-profit organizations, church and school committees and serves as an active volunteer attorney with the local legal aid service. Kevin is a graduate of St. John's University and William Mitchell College of Law.
Since receiving his J.D. from William Mitchell in 1987, Kevin has been admitted to practice in State and Federal Courts in Minnesota and North Dakota. He is past president of the Stearns-Benton Bar Association and is an active member in the Minnesota Defense Lawyers and the Defense Research Institute.
As a father of three daughters, Kevin and his wife, Maggie, have learned to balance work and family life. Kevin has volunteered many years as a coach for hockey and soccer, was a founding member of a local children's theatre, and still makes time to cross country ski, golf, and run.
